lettera27 is a non-profit foundation born in July 2006. The foundation's mission is to support the right to literacy and education, and promote access to knowledge across the world and especially in developing countries.
AtWork is a project starting from a collection of "art notebooks" donated by different artists to support the activities of lettera27. Its first step is an online exhibition.
Our ambition is to imagine a new way to think of exhibitions. This operation does not pretend to offer definitive solutions to issues that the art world has been concerned with for decades. AtWork is rather conceived as an ever-changing process in which each step builds on what has been accomplished before.
As a multifaceted project, AtWork proposes alternative methods for the circulation and sharing of knowledge and becomes a breeding ground for experimentation and innovation, where learning and knowledge are an integral and constitutive part of the process by which a work of art is created.
